After class last night some students were talking and they asked each other why they decided to take belly dance. One person replied that she had been in the military for so long and her role there was masculine and now she wanted her femininity back. Another woman said that she loves to dance and she's found that belly dancing is a form of dance that is encouraging no matter your, age, shape, size, etc. I found it very interesting to hear all the different reasons people chose to take belly dancing. I would love to hear from you. Why do you take or love to belly dance?
